The Macaw is a magical and colorful bird that lives in the Amazon and several other tropical places. There are many Amazonian tribes that honor the essence and spirit of this bird using their feathers as part of their ceremonial dress.

The crown of feathers are objects of a ritual nature, used by healers and leaders of the Amazonian ethnic groups during yagé ceremonies.

The wings represent the flight made by the shaman as a cultural mediator between the spiritual and material world to ask for healing, to establish communication between their different worlds, while symbolizing protection and recognition of the power of Tayta or men of knowledge such as those of the Kofán ethnic group.

The lines painted on the face of the Tayta are the same lines of the heads of the Macaws that in turn are represented as antennas of connection to these other worlds.

This connection between human and animals leads us to reflect that there is still a source of wisdom and sensitivity towards the presence of the animal world and the honor that the indigenous tribes continue to conserve despite the changes in our present.

El Guacamayo es un ave mágico y colorido que habita en la Amazonia y diversos otros lugares en este planeta; hay muchas tribus amazónicas que honran la esencia y espíritu de este ave usando sus plumas como parte de sus vestimenta ceremonial.

Las coronas de plumas son objetos de carácter ritual, utilizados por hombres de poder y de conocimiento de las étnias Amazónicas durante las ceremonias de yagé.

Las alas representan el vuelo que hace el chamán como mediador cultural entre el mundo espiritual y material para pedir la sanación, entablar comunicación entre sus diferentes mundos, al tiempo que simboliza protección y reconocimiento al poder que tiene los taitas o hombres de conocimiento como los de la etnia kofán.

Las líneas pintadas en el rostro del abuelo o Tayta son las mismas líneas de las cabezas de los Guacamayos que a su vez son representados como antenas de conexión hacia esos otros mundos.

Toda esta conexión entre humano e animales nos lleva a reflexionar que aún existe esa fuente de sabiduría y sensibilidad hacia la presencia del mundo animal y el honor que las tribus indígenas aún conservan a pesar de los cambios en nuestra actualidad.
